World Book Day 2018 – 1/3/18

We had a great day celebrating World Book Day today, with the children coming dressed as animals from a whole host of books! This half term, Year 1/2 are raising money for Hull Animal Welfare Trust, so in order to raise awareness we thought we would get into the animal spirit!

We started the day by coming together in the hall. The children all showed off their outfits and then had an opportunity to share their favourite book from home with their friends.

Throughout the day, the children took part in lots of fun activities. Classes designed their own Mr Men characters and books, made alternative book covers, created their own stories and animated them and interviewed each other about their favourite books. There was also a number of Where’s Wally characters scattered around the school for the children to find.

A huge well done to all of the children for coming in some wonderful outfits and for helping to make World Book Day 2018 a great day! Look out for more information about Miss Uney’s class charity events soon.
