Pine class has kicked off British Science Week by exploring the question: What is the best shape for a boat?🚤🔬
We experimented with different paper boat designs and discovered that boats with bigger, wider bases were the most successful at holding weight because they spread the load.
To finish our investigation, we even tested a flat sheet of paper on its own — and were amazed to find it could hold 50 marbles!
What a fantastic start to our science learning and a great example of how scientists test ideas and learn from surprising results. 🌟
