If your child is ill, please contact the school before 9.00am by leaving a message on the school absence line. If the illness is chicken pox or similar, please tell us when ringing, so that we can pass the information to other parents.
We would ask that appointments for the dentist, opticians etc. are made outside of school hours or in the holidays. If this is not possible and your child must have an appointment in school time, then please visit the main office with the appointment card or letter – please be advised that we may keep a copy for our records. Children should return to school as soon as possible following the appointment to minimise the impact on their learning. The Headteacher will only authorise absences if the reason given is appropriate.
