Sproatley school joins Ebor Academy Trust

Sproatley CE primary school has converted to academy status and joined the growing Ebor Academy Trust.

Other than a small name change – the school will now be called Sproatley Endowed Church of England Academy – pupils and parents will see few immediate changes associated with joining Ebor.

One very visible change will be new signage due to be installed soon outside the school. The new name means a modest adjustment to the school logo and therefore the uniform but this will be phased in: the school says there is no need to replace existing uniform.

“We look forward to all the benefits that will come from being part of a well-established and highly regarded multi-academy trust,” said acting headteacher Paula Townsend. “We are excited about working more closely with other Ebor schools to share good practice, work together on projects and benefit from shared resources.”

Sproatley is Ebor’s tenth school across the group and its second in its growing East Riding hub, alongside Sigglesthorne Church of England Primary Academy. Alderman Cogan’s Church of England Primary School in Hull is expected to join Ebor soon.
