Our aim is for everyone within the Ebor Academy Trust to be safe to Work, Learn and Grow together. We believe that there are three key aspects to safeguarding and that there should be clear policies, guidance, lines of accountability and monitoring of each aspect. These form the basis of the Academy policy and the structure of the safeguarding team in each school. The name, role and photograph of each member of staff in the safeguarding team are displayed in each school. The three aspects are:
  • Safe children
  • Safe adults
  • Safe environment

Sproatley Endowed CE Primary Academy Child Protection Policy – Information for Parents

At Sproatley Endowed CE Primary Academy, we recognise that your child is our responsibility and concern. We want to work in partnership with you, and discuss with you, any concerns we may have or that you may have.

It is a priority to inform and involve you at every stage in your child’s time at the school.

Since the first priority is your child’s welfare, there may be rare occasions when our concern about your child means that we have to consult other agencies even before we contact you.

The ER Safeguarding Children Partnership has laid down the procedures we follow, and the school has adopted a Child Protection Policy in line with this for the safety of all.

If you want to know more about our procedures or the policy, please speak to Mrs G. Pepper the Headteacher, or your child’s class teacher, or Mr Darren Chamberlain who is the Governor with responsibility for Child Protection.
